The hallucinations were frightening and seemed absolutely real. Another goal is to enjoy playing Poker Party World Series. For many reasons I was virtually certain that I had the best hand... and I did. I never had written anything about sex, and learned that it's difficult to write a sex scene that doesn't turn to smut. Actually, when I review and annotate a tournament where I won, I can usually find at least a couple of huge laydowns I made which would have cost me the tournament, had I made the calls. Next.

With all the studies showing the extremely harmful (and even deadly) effects of second hand smoke it is disturbing that casinos and pokerparty rooms appear to be the last bastion in America where smokers' rights supersede non-smokers rights. So I tell the driver to turn around and he answers, "OK, but I've gotta go down here and turn off and do so and so."

The ol' man repeats again, "Tell him he needs to turn around now." He said he couldn't. I'm also paying close attention to how other players are playing their hands. His love of poker, poker players, and the industry is certainly evident. I prefer cash games and I will tell you why. Of course, times have changed and now all of those things are the current popular topics.

Mental clarity and physical stamina help get you through a tournament that may last 14 hours or more...and that might be the first of three days...as you know from playing in the TOC. Seriously, it's part of an image for poker. Image is everything, and nowhere is this more important than in politics and poker. I have been involved in the travel business and have loved poker for more than 20 years so it seemed like a perfect match. In fact, I still get emotional every time I think of it.
