Maintaining a Poker Website

This is a procedure that all poker dealers who deal 7-card stud should follow. Any pokerincanada room that doesn't follow this is remiss. The reason for this is, that if there is a problem with the action such as someone didn't call the raise and the dealer misses it, all cards dealt on the next betting round are dead along with one for each player that has not yet received a card.

A pot that netted them about twenty five percent less than it cost them to play it. As I looked around the room about an hour later, I noticed the new Pokerincanada players that had left the Omaha game, had now joined in a 5/10 hold'em game. I decided to get a seat, and join the hold'em game, to play with the new guys on the block. Hey! My secret to winning at poker is always try to play with people who play worse than I do. My friends tell me that I must be finding that harder to do everyday.

I take shots at you, and you do the same at me. When one of us runs out of ammo. Most likely there will be only one of us left in an upright position. Would it be correct to give the other guy you beat to the draw, more ammo so he can take an extra shot at you from his position on the ground. It doesn't thrill me to think about it. I want to be able to check the chip stacks and know that they will only move due to wins or losses, not rebuys.

Clutch Performers

Very often I hear people complaining about the plays that new/novice/amateurs made in a game, plays that caused the complainer to lose the hand! A hand they would have most assuredly won if the other guy "would have played like he should have". This is very confusing to me. Think about it, would you rather they did not play Pokerincanada incorrectly, and then beat you with skill and luck combined?

People have backed me in the Pokerincanada game with their money because they know I am a solid player. However by no means at all am I a great player. Lately I seem to have nothing but, (I really hate to say this, because everyone that loses says it) BAD LUCK. Its not the kind of bad luck where one chases a gut shot inside straight doesn't get it, then complains of bad luck, it the kind where a set of kings gets chased down runner/runner against raised betting for the flush.

Then there are the times you get monster hands. In these wild games, including stud, I will never slow play rolled aces, I will come out betting, because I know there will be enough if not most of the players calling. In tight games you get down a few bucks and you may never make it back, but these games can give you a false sense of safety due to their illusion of sanity, as they slowly nickel and dime you to death.

Gutshot Straight Draw

You might get a different ruling from different casinos for the following reason, in trying to help please customers, and make everything all sweetness and light, they sometimes go overboard in protecting the Pokerincanada person who made the mistake. The ruling should be based on the facts, and the rules, not on being a nice guy. Dare I say, "not to protect dumb mistakes." Rules are rules and should be enforced equally and the same all over.

I must admit that I myself have been guilty of what might be borderline or bending the rules of legitimate play. I usually play Pokerincanada with a bunch of regulars. It is one of those games that when I walk up to the table, I usually say in fun, "Gee, great to see so many new faces." That usually means that out of ten players I know eight or nine of them. I will try my best to find another game with more strangers in it.

How to Build Your Own Pokerincanada Table

However, keep in mind that you will need help from the Pokerincanada flop (preferably a king, two spades including the ace or some kind of combination hand). If the flop comes with two spades and you are up against the nut-flush draw, the hand might prove quite costly, especially if you make the hand you have been drawing for. That said, if the flop comes like this it is hard for you to lay down your Pokerincanada hand, even if you think your flush draw may not necessarily be good if you make it.

In loose-passive games where lots of Pokerincanada players see the flop for one bet, you get excellent odds in trying to flop a set, and the hand can often be played for profit- even from early position. Unfortunately, at the limits I play ($10-20 and up), the games are like this only a very small percentage of the time. In these games, players prefer raising and calling over folding, and your hand is therefore not automatically playable anymore.

  1. It's rare for two pair to win a big pot for example, and with this Pokerincanada hand, top two pair will be your most likely river hand. (Even though two pair is not often good enough to win the pot, with this hand it is actually more likely than with any other. Let's say the flop comes AQ8 rainbow, giving you top two. If you get, say three callers, you know that any nine, jack or king will cripple your hand. However, there are quite a few "safe" cards here, and when two small cards come on the turn or river, not creating a backdoor flush, your top two is quite likely to be good.
  2. Because draws can be so powerful in this game, playing like this is hardly ever considered semi-bluffing anymore, let alone bluffing. Bluffing on the river is possible every now and then, although in the big pots one or all players involved will be all-in on the flop or turn most of the time, and decisions are therefore made early in the hand rather than at the river.
  3. Kings single-suited is a fine hand, however it's not nearly as strong as a pair of kings in hold'em. The gap makes it almost impossible to flop the nuts with the jack, and you lost the six that made your Pokerincanada hand strong from a flop hitting / money making perspective. That said, in late position the hand is usually still worth a call, but not against a raise.
  4. Against two raises (indicating aces) this hand is still playable, especially when there's enough Pokerincanada money left to bet after the flop (implied odds). You don't mind being up against aces here, because your cards are live and opposed to the reraiser's hand. You do mind being up against someone holding the same type of hand you do, but just a little bit bigger (Qs Jh Ts 9h)- your premium hand is in VERY bad shape here.

Some other excellent flops are JTx (top pair + wraparound straight draw), QJx, JJx when you're up against the other jack but not a full house, or QQJ. The quality of your hand lies in the fact that if you're up against someone holding QJ as well, all the money is likely to go in on the flop and you've got six outs twice (three aces, three kings) to improve over your opponent- and again, free of risk (as you can never lose).

One of the most overrated hands in limit hold'em, especially by inexperienced Pokerincanada players. Has a lot of value in loose-passive games, but almost none in the tougher games that are the rule in the limits $10-20 and up.
